I’m so glad that fall is finally here. We’re finally getting away from the high 80s here and I’m loving it. I like winter even more, so I’m excited that it’s right around the corner! I’ve always had an affinity towards cozy sweaters and cool breezes instead of shorts and feeling like the sun is burning me.
It’s been a few months since I’ve had a favorites post. Last month, I just wasn’t feeling it and I didn’t have any products that I wanted to include. I also took the month of August off from posting and I wrote all about it in a blog and life update. Not much has changed since then besides for working on my consistency while doing so many other things at the same time. But it’s all about trying, doing what I can, and progressing (at least, that’s what I tell myself).
We’ll see how the rest of October goes because I may skip my October favorites. But you never know – there may be some things I just have to let y’all know about!
my five favorites from september:
something to read: my newsletter
I shared a post all about my newsletter and a preview of my ebook! My newsletter came out last Friday, since it is monthly newsletter. I am also sharing an ebook! I’m working on the last finishing touches since everything did not save. Initially, I wanted both to come out the same day, but sometimes technology just don’t work the way you want it too. But that’s okay! It is still coming – so don’t worry! So, if you haven’t signed up – it’s not to late (it never is)! Sign up here!
something to smell: perfume
I’ve really gotten into perfume lately. I like subtle scents that are a little sweet and earthy. It’s truly an interesting combo, but I’m obsessed! I’ve been working on finding my signature scent that I can go back to time after time. I’m having a little bit of luck with Anthropologie. How do you feel about having a signature scent, do you have one?
something to wear: creamy eyeliner
I’ve been loving eyeliner lately – especially creamy eyeliner. I love to switch between Revlon’s Colorstay eyeliner in black brown when I want my eyelashes to stand out. Rimmel London’s Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Black is perfect for when I want a bolder look. There is nothing better than some creamy eyeliner to change up simple, minimal makeup!
something to listen to: best part (feat. h.e.r.) by daniel caesar
I love how simple, smooth, and soulful this song is. I first heard about it from another blogger, Marianna Hewitt. It’s a good and quick song to listen to. I’ve been singing it for months and I can’t get it out of my head. The beginning is my favorite part! Listen to it here!
something to try: Harry’s razors & foaming shave gel
Full disclosure: I was sent this item and I am not being paid to talk about it.
Before you skip to the end, you have to read my honest review! I am talking about this because I love it! Harry’s is not just for men, we can use it too ladies! And you know what? I’m sold! These products are absolutely amazing!
Y’all know that I have extremely sensitive skin and I am really hesitant when it comes to trying new products, although I love to try new products. I know that was a very contradicting statement. But when Harry’s reached out to me, I was excited to see what this brand was all about. I’ve been following them for a while and I’ve wanted to try their products even though they are geared towards men.
But let’s cut down on the pink tax when it comes to razors and use products on our bodies that work!
Their foaming shave gel is so nice and it truly made my skin feel moisturized after shaving. I love the razor too, it glides over the skin seamlessly and it has five blades, so you get a really close and great shave! I used a little bit of body oil on my legs after shaving and they felt amazing! I’ve never used a product that has felt like this. They have definitely turned me into a lifetime consumer!
