50 Things I’m Thankful for This Year

I don’t know about you, but this time of the year is when I do a lot of reflection. I think about what is good, what’s great, and what I would like to change. With all the bad that 2020 has brought, it has made me be even more thankful and intentional when it comes to my life. I’ve been so appreciative of everything I have even with the mix of all of the loss this year has brought. I have lost family members and friends. But through it all, I’ve realized there are so many things to be thankful for and to appreciate the good instead of focusing on the bad. Of course, there are more than fifty things that I am thankful for, but this list is only the beginning.

  2. friends
  3. a place to call my home
  4. financial stability
  5. quiet mornings
  6. walks with friends
  7. fresh food
  8. clean water
  9. my health, even though a lot of days are hard
  10. more than enough clothing
  11. my fifteen-year-old Shih Tzu
  12. learning how to have patience and grace with me
  13. God’s love and peace
  14. slow evenings
  15. learning new sustainability practices
  1. learning how to homestead
  2. moving towards a more low/zero waste lifestyle
  3. celebrations (even if they were over Zoom)
  4. Facetime chats
  5. having the time to declutter and organize my spaces without interruption
  6. reading good books
  7. social media to be able to connect with others
  8. the ability to work
  9. this blog
  10. this blogging community
  11. podcasts to listen to
  12. tv shows that distract and entertain me
  13. clean, fresh air
  14. the river
  15. the freedom to create
