Y’all know that I am an avid podcast listener. I mean, I’ve done two posts on podcasts that bring value to your life (part one, part two). I still listen to a few of those podcasts to this day and a few new ones. Sadly, some of the podcasts I have mentioned have ended, but there are so many more out there to listen too. Podcasts are great to get lost in while doing some housework, during a long commute, and while relaxing. If you’re not already on the podcast bandwagon, then jump on in. There are so many great ones to listen to and there are a few that I listen to every single week.
podcasts i listen to on a weekly basis:
This is an NPR news podcast and new episodes are available every weekday. I listen to this podcast every single morning to stay informed and up to date on what is going on in the world. I love that it is a short and sweet podcast with episode around 10 minutes.
This is the podcast version of the tv show: Super Soul Sunday on OWN. I’d rather listen to the podcast than watch the tv show because if I want to re-listen, or share an episode it’s super easy to do so. Each episode is about 35 minutes and they are all really good. Oprah discusses happiness, spirituality, life, and wellbeing with each of her guests. The guests are very diverse ranging from India.Arie and Joel Osteen to former President Jimmy Carter.
This podcast is created by Refinery29 and I love it. I found it by listening to Strong Opinions Loosely Held, another one of their podcasts whose season just ended. I recommend it as well for women that are interested in politics, or controversial topics.
Back to unstyled – this podcast is all about discovering your dream life and style. It is a great podcast to learn more about some of the fashion trendsetters that you may admire. I know that I loved Stacy London from TLC’s What Not To Wear and when I noticed she was interviewed a few times I was sold! Each episode is about 20 minutes and they are all very intriguing.
I used to love this podcast until I thought it was a little bit too ‘woo-woo’ for my taste. But once I truly listened to it and gave it another chance. I was able to see what parts of Jess’s story truly resonated with me and what didn’t. I also love that she’s traveling and exploring the world and sharing that with everyone. Each episode is about an hour, so it’s perfect to listen to when you’re cleaning!
